“Everyone has been affected by a bad relationship so we wanted to come out, dress up and show our support,” said McCarty.

David Docherty, President of Mount Royal University, continues the institution’s tradition of taking part in the event. This will be the third year MRU has taken part.
“The steps we are taking today in our walk are a lot easier than the steps many Calgarians have to take to walk away from family violence,” said Docherty.
